Congratulations! I am in my 4th week since application but haven't heard anything. Is 3 weeks the norm or the exception?

Many people on Beat the gmat have also mentioned roughly 3 weeks from a complete application (i.e. all documents, essays, recos etc).

Nope. I think most people submit in late Set/ early Oct. You should be fine.

I submitted 9/5 and just got the interview invite yesterday (9/24). Took just about 3 weeks for me as well.

I am sending in my app on Monday. Currently working at a family business so the J-Term format is ideal for me.

Does anyone know how severe of a penalty there is for applying this late in the rolling admissions?

It's difficult with Columbia since the J Term is a virtual extension? And we sort of want people of the same year to be in the discussions?

If you guys want, I would be happy to change the topic name to 2015 if that makes more sense...

Could you change the name to class of 2015?

I don't get what you mean by it being a virtual extension? The J-term is simply a later start for the class of 2015, thats all!
