👋 Hey ufo9038,
I came across your profile evaluation query on the forum and thought I'd reach out to offer some assistance from my own experience.
So here is what I would suggest:
Strengths:➡️ Academic Excellence: Your educational journey is exemplary. You've not only earned degrees from top-tier schools but have also maintained high GPAs throughout. A GPA of 8.18/10 from the top university in your country, followed by an MPP with a CGPA of 90.3% and an MBA with a 3.48/4 GPA, is laudable and indicates a high level of intellectual capability.
➡️ Specialization in Risk & Regulations: Your 7.5 years of specialized work experience in risk and regulatory roles significantly differentiate you from the typical MBA applicant. Roles in the Prime Minister's advisory office and Big 4 in Ireland demonstrate your skills in high-pressure environments. Your clients being prestigious financial institutions like BAML, Citi, and JPM further augment your profile. This makes you particularly valuable to programs looking for deep industry expertise.
➡️ Leadership and Career Progression: Rising to managerial and senior consultant roles in just 7.5 years is evidence of your strong leadership capabilities and career momentum.
➡️ Global Exposure: Working in two geographically diverse markets adds weight to your global outlook and cultural adaptability. You'll bring this unique perspective to class discussions, group projects, and case analyses.
➡️ Holistic Development: Your involvement in teaching English to refugees is an outstanding humanitarian touch that adds social depth to your profile.
➡️ Certifications and Skills: An FRM certification validates your specialization, enhancing your appeal to finance-focused programs.
School Recommendations:➡️ Dream Schools: Wharton, Columbia, Booth
➡️ Competitive Schools: Duke, NYU, Kellogg
➡️ Safe Schools: Foster, Illinois, Arizona
While your
GMAT is strong at 720, given the competitiveness of top programs, remember that GMAT is just 1/4th of your application and the rest depends on how you craft a compelling application. Overall, your profile is multifaceted and offers a rich narrative that would be attractive to top MBA programs.
