Hey, guys! Just wondering
How are you guys deciding with the schools?
Like, according to QS rankings, or also considering the current geopolitical situations? Like in the UK, it is a recession, but as we also know, that, LBS and Imperial are very good schools for MIM (even according to the QS ranking)
For me if given a choice, I’d structure it by asking the first question : Where do I wanna work ?
1. If in consulting , finance or front office jobs : Do i know the native language ?
2. If its a back office job like data analysis then it should be okay even if you don’t know the native
Second question would be : Do I want it fast paced or I need time to structure ? Everyone has different networking speeds
Third and more important one : How are my financials? Since you are investing a huge amount for the course..how soon you want the break even point ?
And as far as I have seen working in Europe : The hiring process goes by the name of school not by rankings
HEC, ESSEC,ESCP, INSEAD , EDHEC, SDA Bocconi, RSM known for employers here ✔️ (but knowing the native language is always a plus here)
LBS, Imperial : If you are quick at networking coz the course is short and you need to manage a lot in that time frame( PS : Uk is going through a bit of recession so most of the roles offered are in the Middle East countries )
This is my current view..others can chip in/ agree or completely disagree 🙂
