Need guidance, got rejected from MIM in R1. Will be starting as Senior Analyst with EY coming month. Does this count as major improvement or change in overall profile?
Asking because I am thinking of reapplying in r2.
Does it make sense?

A promotion alone wouldn’t count as a major improvement —-> it’s more of a continuation of your existing role. Major improvements usually mean clear, quantifiable progress, such as: a significant GMAT(605 --> 685-705) or TOEFL/IELTS score increase, completion of the CFA, notable startup revenue or user growth, or representing your organization or country at an international event.

Wait, isn’t ESSEC gonna announce results on 28th Oct?

A promotion alone wouldn’t count as a major improvement —-> it’s more of a continuation of your existing role. Major improvements usually mean clear, quantifiable progress, such as: a significant GMAT(605 --> 685-705) or TOEFL/IELTS score increase, completion of the CFA, notable startup revenue or user growth, or representing your organization or country at an international event.

Well it’s a change. Not working right now, but hold 1.5 yoe as Analyst. However, I do get where you are coming from. So, safe to say move on from HEC?

Hi everyone,
I need some opinion between courses at NYU and decide which suits my plan better.

1. NYU Courant & Stern - MS Computing, Entrepreneurship and Innovation
2. NYU School of Professional Studies - MS Management & Analytics.

I have been working as a data analyst, I wish to transform my career into business analytics direction ( more into financial services / fintech ) and in the long run either I'll start my own venture or probably get into my family business which is a fintech based company itself. I do more of credit analysis currently and have plans to do implement my own project in the same field. So which degree seem more appropriate? And I am a fresher right now.

Mostly on the day that the school mentions..and since it’s a Sunday please expect delays (in france people rarely work on sundays)

Unless it is a major change which could impact the whole cohort diversity I don’t think it would be a wise choice to apply again (considering the application fee )

Can you also name what roles you are looking for from the school? Like the job market you can get from Marketing management could include a lot of offers and some could be tough to get if you don’t speak the native language and some are not...for the ROI it’s important as well(if you count it in the break even point)

That’s what every school offers in terms of roles (excluding finance) 😅 I’d highly encourage you to check the alumni of the course and what they are doing now..maybe you will get a better idea..I will share the data based opinions but the real deal will be known from the current students and what roles they got
