did you plan you answer for the essay question " why MIM now and not MBA ?"...if you have a genuine answer for that question i dont think there is much discussion left
PS: An MBA from Kellogg alone won’t directly elevate you to a higher position in the organization. Since applications are centralized, roles typically specify experience requirements. If most candidates have 5+ years, the roles will be aligned to that level. As a result, even with an MBA, you may still need to accept a lower salary or entry-level position
