Hey @Dexter43, I was looking for some clarity on understanding how internships are structured at ESSEC and how they fit into the academic calendar. When students take up an internship, let’s say at the start of T2, do they usually skip that trimester entirely, or do they take a reduced course load alongside the internship. If it’s an apprenticeship, in which trimester does it start ideally? Moreover, if someone does take up an internship or is doing an apprenticeship, can they also enroll for a specialization at the same time?

In brief : For full time internships you are away for the semester , so no courses or chairs or specialisations For apprenticeships : if your rhythm is suitable to take courses/chairs/specialisations you can otherwise you cannot (there are different formats of rhythms 3j/2j , 4j/1j, 4s/1s and in exceptional cases 6m/6m) Apprenticeships normally start in September and internships depend on the company you are applying to

Has anyone applied to or planning to apply to WU Vienna for Quantitative Finance

Just to confirm, in the case of full-time internships, since students are away for the entire semester and don’t take courses how are the missed courses handled academically? Do students typically make them up in later trimesters or extend the program duration, how does it work out exactly?

Yes you have to take it later First you need to find a French company that allows you to do a full online internship with classes(as far as I know it’s not allowed)
