Hi Stacy,
I have read lots of posts and blogs of yours, so with great expectation i am sharing my problem with you. I am really in big dilemma which courses to choose from? Being a Fresher, I dont have work exp. required for US B-schools. But i am really interested in joining a business program and get into this field. I am in final year of my engineering and not interested in continuing in the same field. I am interested in entrepreneur program or General management but none of my assets support me getting into a B-Program
I have mayb around 2.3 GPA, No work exp, And Gmat 580(q49 v20) ,which are on a down side but only strength i posses is thinking of business and business plans , new ideas etc. I am planning to retake GMAT and with good preparation of verbal this time. But while studying the thought pops-up for which program i am preparing for? I just want to start off in this field rest i am confident i will do it myself.
Strengths:
1.Been to military school from Grade 6 to 10 (a boarding school under ministry of defence) was a Prefect and leader in all grades.
2. Been in National Cadet Corps NCC for 5 years which again is related with drill and army.attended 3 national camps of NCC as well
3. Played Basketball at Zonal level
4. Imagining new ideas for business
Weakness:
1.GPA
2.no work exp
3. GMAT. (tough would improve after 2nd attempt)
1. Please suggest me which programs will suit me?
I want to start immediately after my engineering. Fall 2015
2. The programs like Yale and HBS would consider my profile for their freshers program? or should i try for good MIM programs?
