Hi PMBA,

Thanks for this information.
Has the interviewer name specified for your interview?

Hi Aimhigh, they haven't told me the name of the interviewer.

Has anyone else from India got the interview invite?
Getting impatient by the day

At the Johnson information session in Mumbai on the 8th, the representative said that they had just begun reviewing Indian applications at the time, so I think there is still sufficient time for invites to be sent out.

Looks like the number of applications to Cornell has swelled this year. I was told by a member of Adcom that they are still in the process of opening applicants' files from R1.

Hi PMBA,

Hi Aimhigh, they haven't told me the name of the interviewer.

I don't know if this is different for international applicants (I suppose if you're arranging a Skype interview you almost have to), but I interviewed on campus and they didn't tell me the name of my interviewer or whether they were a second-year student or adcom member until I arrived at admissions that morning.

Doesnt seem like it...

I'm assuming if we do not here something by end of day today, we shouldn't expect anything until monday (the Wed before thanksgiving is most likely a half day, and then they're off Thurs and Fri).

Seems like they may have a tough time fitting everyone in...

I e-mailed my app review officer today who had actually e-mailed earlier asking me to provide something missing in my application. I got an out of office reply with the message that the e-mail will be replied on 26/11. So, I am assuming that no one will hear this week from Cornell, meaning they will have 3 weeks to send most of the invites, complete interviews and make decisions. Hmm...

Invite reported today in another forum. That out of thr office message could be they are wrking full time on reviewing apps and not doing any administrative stuff.

Also, looks like they're from NY, so finally a northeast invite.

It could also mean that some staff members are on vacation for the holidays and some aren't.

Relatively late interview invitations don't seem to be unusual for Cornell, judging by what people posted on last year's thread.

Plus, don't forget that they moved the deadline date back a week, and kept the same decision date... It also seems like R1 app volume grew pretty substantially. They may be a bit backed up. But, who knows?

I have gone through similar situation before. I had lost all hope for ISB and one week before the decisions were released, I got an interview call. In less than a week after interview, I had my offer letter in an email. Unfortunately, rolling interview procedure gets highly frustrating. I agree with guys on this forum - univs should release all interview invites on the same day. I know wishful thinking lol. Hope most of us waiting here will hear something from Cornell soon.

I love how applying to B-school has inadvertantly honed our stalker skills. :-D

I had sent an email to my app review officer today and she promptly replied that interview invitations have just begun and will go on until Dec. 19. I was a bit surprised to hear the final date :). So I guess there is still a lot of time to go before some of us may even hear about our interviews. I guess more wait :).

Hi All! Glad to see that you're applying to Johnson. I'm a 2nd year student at Johnson and just want to let you know that, yes many people left for the holidays yesterday. There were still people in the office today and yesterday. Also, everything can be done remotely re: applications, so one doesn't need to be at his/her desk to proceed.

With that being said, it's safe to say that Thursday -> Sunday are days when you can relax.

I remember being in this forum 2 years ago! There's nothing that I can say to remind you guys to try to stay calm, so I won't even try haha. Just hang in there! Best of luck! Also, if you want to know anything about Johnson feel free to post it here or ping me. If I don't know the answer, I'll try to connect you with either one of my 2nd year classmates or a 1st year classmate!
