I take three main points away from the p&q article:
1) Johnson has taken a different path to evaluating applicants and has put more emphasis on soft skills (interviews).
2) Apps were up last year, the trend continues this year in the EA round. I bet that now with the new ranking they will keep on increasing
3)They interviewed 700-800 applicants out of 2,100 (30-38%), and the admissions rate was 27%. So basically if you are invited to interview you had a 70-90% chance of being admitted.
