Yup... It was nice while it lasted but there is no way they can do that many interviews in the timespan left. This ship might have sailed lads.

I'm sure Cornell will be losing many good candidates because of this fiasco.

Agreed - Cornell is not a school with an 89% yield like HBS. Theirs hovers around 45-50%. Typically Round 1 applicants are the most interested too, so it'll be interesting what happens to their yield if the bulk of their offers happen in Round 2/3 to compensate for Round 1.

Cornell will call applicants up until the last minute. Apps are up 30-40% from last year. I visited last week and received that feedback. Spoke with several adcom members and all said the situations is under control. There were other 5 students or so interviewing that day. Posted from my mobile device

Thanks for the information. For me, I'm trying to focus on other schools now. It is weird to me that applications are up that much at Cornell but down at other schools. I also saw an adcom from Emory say they had a record number of R2 applications this year. Oh well.

That's not a lot. I was at Darden this week and there were 20-30 students interviewing.

even i have been waiting for an invite from a pretty long time.. and seeing very few invites both here and on BTG is equally frustrating.. i read somewhere earlier that Cornell sends invites majorly on friday.. let's see how many do they call tomorrow!
