Hope they didn’t read this and then start rethinking 😅
Of course not. I don’t believe they’d be unprofessional about this.

5 out of the seven of us worked full time all four years. Two of us work at crypto startups based in NYC that have notable Cornell alum and professors. One of us works at Google in product for VR. One works as a quantitative trader in the Bay for a startup. And the other has been working at his family’s biotech company as a partnerships associate. I guess they just don’t consider that as credible work experience 🤷🏽 Posted from my mobile device
And you’re saying none of them got an interview?

None of us got an interview no (I’m one them that works at a crypto startup that has not only Cornell retired compsci faculty, but also Cornell tech alum lol)

Which sucks because we all wanted to pursue Cornell tech and have friendship squad energy going into grad school, but I guess we can’t always get what we need 🫠

Damn.

I’m pretty sure they take into account age but they can’t say that because it’s a form of discrimination

Personally, I don’t know all of their lists but I know that most of them applied to T10s.

I went another route and applied to Masters in Management programs:

Dartmouth
Georgetown
Columbia
Cambridge
Northwestern
NYU
Stanford

Are you referring to sending in official transcripts? If so yes or else the apps wouldn’t be complete. Our transcripts give a link to each course description listed as well so if they needed more context into curriculum it’s all there.

Not sure. When I talked to some alums , they did mention that some people with really good profiles got interview just for formality. That they were already selected. So you do have chanced I would say.
Hope they didn’t read this and then start rethinking 😅

LOL, sounds true now!

Sorry unofficial transcripts is their policy I believe but we all submitted our official transcripts anyway because it was free.

Why MIM, why not MBAs?

Unfortunately, even though I have 4 years of full time work experience, I’m still an undergrad. MBA programs don’t look at 22 year olds very often, even with a stellar background professionally and academically which I think is still especially in this day and age.

However, some MiM programs (specially the ones I’m applying to) have deferral programs to their MBA programs if you graduate in the top 25% of their MiM class (which is typically small) i.e., Kellogg.

You’ll all studied in the states/Canada?

Yes, we’re all from the US.

Yes correct. Even though as long as all the experiences checks out it shouldn’t matter because these were legitimate positions, not like internships or something like that.
