Hi There,
This is Rajesh Kumar from SF, CA. I am thinking about starting my full-time MBA in the fall of 2011. I am planning to work either in private equity or in my own business after MBA. I was hoping to get your inputs on my questions below.
Profile
- Own and operate two golf courses in the bay area and a hotel in Arizona. I have created these business by my own ideas and capitalized them with the help of local investors.
- 1/4th ownership in a medium size online security software firm.
-Worked almost full time for five years as a project engineer in one of the top five Environmental Engineering Firm while managing my business ventures (because of H1B visa issues).
- Recently got my Green Card!!!!
Education
-Got BE (Civil Engineering) degree in 2003 from one of the top five engineering college in India.
-Got MS (Environmental Engineering) degree in 2005 from Arizona State University.
Extra Curricular Activities
-Supporting a girl’s high school in India.
-Member of Big Brother and Big Sister.
I am just wondering about my chance in getting admission in Harvard and/or Stanford business schools for MBA. I will be taking my GMAT soon. I appreciate your help in this.

Thanks Linda for the reply. I just want a break from my business/work and go back to a great B'School for brand name suitable for future business ventures. I got 3.5 gpa in my MS and 3.8 in my B.E. I am hoping to get around 720+ in GMAT exam. Not sure though... I was thinking my business background and non software engineering education and work background might help. Anyway You know much more than me..Please give me your advice and also a little bit detail/process information about engaging your consultancy for admission application. Can I apply before writing my GMAT exam?
