Hi, I have a part time MBA in Marketing having worked in the BFSI space for over a decade now. I feel like I’m stuck in terms of career growth and prospects. Hence, I am planning to give my GMAT this year and try for an Executive MBA. I am 38 currently. Can anyone please help/counsel if it’s a good idea and worth it and if yes then which colleges in India or abroad should I focus on?

Hi SatishLanka,

Thank you for your post. An Executive MBA makes sense for those looking to get ahead, typically through promotions. If I may, what is it that you are hoping an EMBA will offer you, as far as opportunities? Typically EMBAs are fast-track programs and expect the executive to continue working while enrolled in the program. From your post, I am not sure I can ascertain your goal, are you changing sectors or geographic regions, or are you trying to move up within your organization. Happy to have a free 30-min conversation to discuss your profile and goals, so we can best guide you. If interested, please reach out.

Good luck!

Hi SatishLanka,

Thanks for your query.

The Executive MBA makes sense if you are going to be continuing with the same company through higher leadership roles. Hence, it is important for us to learn what your goals are in this regard.

All the best!
