Could someone explain the answer for No. 12 .It is an inference question and nowhere is it mentioned in the passage that the oneida delegates viewed the Canaduaga treaty as a possible safeguard for the tribal rights

Even I have similar doubt.
I got the last two wrong. I put B for the 12th one and A for the last one.
I think the OEs for all the questions have not been put up yet. Can someone please put up the OE?

Hi anubhavmax

The reference for the Canandaigua treaty is mentioned in the last sentence of the second paragraph. However if we look closely at the last sentence of the third paragraph we find that the Canandaigua treaty is important for the pending land claims. This fits Option A which states "A valuable safeguard of certain Oneida rights and privileges"

12- Had the NA agreed to the new treaty..old pending lawsuits & claims under the previously signed treaty might have lost their importance..So A fits aptly
