Hi. I think you got the right schools. The only other finance and IB programs would be Columbia and Stern but very expensive cost of living in NY City.

Otherwise I think you are in target. Would recommend starting to reach out to some of the current students (if you have not already) and trying to connect. It will be tricky as they are busy but if you have good strong and interesting questions you will be able to get them talking. These relationships will be very valuable in the long run.

While the schools shortlisted by you are in complete sync with your career prospects, your GRE score is on the lower side with regard to your target schools; of course, your test score is only a component of your overall application; however, it is still an extremely crucial component.

Thank you. I have also applied with an EA score of 148 which I'm guessing is again on the lower side. Unfortunately for me, your analysis just proves to show that even though universities claim that they see the application holistically, standardised test score is clearly the only thing that matters. I'm certainly not the whole package, but I have my strengths. I hope that I've demonstrated the same in my application. Fingers crossed.

Your career goals are clear, and you have substantial work experience in the tech and IT industry. A GRE score of 304 is on the lower side for many top MBA programs. While these programs are becoming more flexible in terms of standardized test scores, it's essential to check each school's specific requirements and whether they have a GMAT/GRE optional policy. 148 EA is about 40th percentile. Both the GRE and EA seem on the lower side. Sorry... I would apply with both frankly, as schools care LESS about EA in terms of rankings impact. It does not get anywhere but there is a very low chance of a scholarship. Just heads up.

I said that if you have apply with these scores, I would submit both. Are these great scores to apply? not really.... but I don't want to tell you the world's most obvious thing and that you need to retake but it would help quite a bit if you could improve them.

Not really sure, if you are asking for advice, or telling us of your admits to have hit 3/4 with 3 of the other best schools in the world.
That said, with your GPA, high work-ex, and not so stellar GRE, you indeed have challenges in convincing AdComs of your Academic Calibre; If you have been able to get those admissions, your applications have had that compelling story, told with a genuine touch, and the convincing power to have the AdComs agree to take a risk on you.

@CG2025, Have you already taken the GMAT? What is your score? HEC and INSEAD are usually competitive schools looking at a high GMAT 720+.
Also, if you are interested in. French Schools, I would also urge you to consider EDHEC which is the 3rd ranked school in France for MBA. Feel free to reach out in case of any questions!

Hi, your acads and GMAT are solid. The entrepreneurial experience and ECs are good too, but your Work-ex is a bit on the lower side.

Most MBA programs have their averages around ~4-5 years. While there are rare cases where they admit candidates with 2 years (at time of joining) experience, it's something to keep in mind.

Your profile is a good mix of what they seek for an MBA however, the years of work experience could be the shows stopper for most colleges. If you are willing to wait and get into top schools (which is possible with your profile), I would suggest you to try for deferred programs -
1. Harvard Business School 2+2
2. Chicago Booth Scholars Program
3. MIT Sloan MBA Early Admission Program

This will give you a good enough window to gain sufficient work experience and be relaxed of your MBA Admit. In case you need to have a detailed chat, please feel free to reach out to me.

Excellent GPA, great college, outstanding GMAT
CFA 1 adds to the credentials.
NGO work, and the related ECs can help you stand out in

Major cons:
Short on your Work Exp,
Missing link from Environmental Engineering to Steel Manufacturer to IB (though the leaning towards finance with the NGO may help demonstrate your interest)

While there are many deferred programs at top schools including at Yale SOM (I am an alum of Yale SOM, and loved their structure of Silver Scholar program), and you may have a string candidature with many of them, you will need to urgently take up the application prep.

That said, LBS may still not work for you.

Another option is to wait it out a few years, and apply for the FT MBA program by about 4-5 years of Work Exp at the time of application
