1) should i opt for a 1 yr mba or 2 year mba
Typically someone with no formal business education would opt for full time MBA or part time MBA. One year programs are more for folks who majored in business as an undergrad or who have extensive business experience.
2) wic mba ranking site to follow
IN the US, you would typically use US News or Bloomberg Business Week for rankings. the Financial Times is better for international programs outside the US.
3) wat critieria shd i keep in mind before applyin for tat particular school (as I m completely shifting my career from dentistry to management )
Any accredited program will give you what you need, but you might want to lean towards schools which have a good reputation in healthcare management. In the US, they are schools such as Duke, Johns Hopkins, Vanderbilt, Wharton, etc. you would need to do some research on such programs in Australia and Asia and Canada.
4) i am more interested in Australia but all
Major mba schools in Australia offer only one year With no summer internship..for example melbourne business school, macquerie business school and UNSW..
Yes I realize now your dilemma. One year programs are popular in Asia and Europe. You might consider the US and Canada over Australia for this reason.
5) In canada, most schools r offering 16 mnths mba..so r they similar to 2 yr mba or any disadvantages..
The 16 month programs would be good vs. a one year, since they go into more depth.
6) Hows mba at QUT, Brisbane..coz ranking of australian and canadian universities r pretty ambiguous..
I am not familiar with the comparison of these two programs so I would hesitate to comment.
