Hi Carl,
I got admitted into the McGill MBA. I wanted to know the job prospects for a 4 yr IT guy from India and also the average salary that I could expect. I know the salary would vary based on jobs and experience levels, but a general figure would really be very helpful.Also, could you let us know the average cost of living in Montreal for a month.

As a rule of thumb, I would say if you're planning the change countries AND industry, then you'll be in for a real challenge. It's possible, but difficult. The employment statistics can be found on the McGill MBA website - just take them with a grain of salt. Average cost of living in Montreal would be $1000/month for a one bedroom apartment. Food should cost about $100/week, metro pass $100/month, + internet + heating, winter clothing, a few suits, etc etc (all $s are in CAD).
