Hi Linda:
After studying for approximately two months and regularly scoring in the high 600s to low 700s on GMAT practice tests, I bombed the actual exam, scoring 30Q (30%) and 42V (96%) 600 total. This is without question a nerve issue and so i am very hisitant about taking the test again if that can be avoided.
I have a BSBA in Marketing from a small private Boston university with a GPA of 3.922. I have participated in a variety of honors programs and have spent a semester studying abroad at Charles University in Prague (dont know if that helps).
I worked full time through school-- and i mean full-time, 40 -50 hrs/ week-- in one of the largest museums on the east coast in a staff management capacity. The position gave me wide ranging management level responsibilities and surely contributed to my professional growth. I also did a short contract role with the Department of Public Health in thier fiscal department. I am, by the way, 24 years old and therefore at another distinct disadvantage.
I am planning on applying to the following schools for round 2, do you think there is any hope, and if there is, is there any specific actions that i can take to mitigate this terrible quant score?
