Need help in geometry section as I'm pretty weak on this particular section Could anyone advice on any of the following :
what formulas you need to know and what are the important concepts?
any good books to follow for geometry?

Check out the Veritas prep Geometry book. I think it is excellent in its coverage of topics you need to know for GMAT. Neither does it skip any important topics nor does it dwell too much on the un-intuitive and hence improbable to show up theorems etc.
It not only discusses the formulas you need to know but also discusses why they are what they are. I think you will certainly see a marked improvement in your performance once you go through the book.
