Hey Guys,
I think I can also give you some relief... first of all the programs only have to report the GPA of full time degree programs- so that's what they care about because they have to report that average GPA. So your non-degree program is somewhat of a non-issue. It certainly is not as important as your 4 yr GPA. The 760 GMAT also really helps so I would not give this too much thought! Hope that makes you feel a little better. And of course - the higher ranked the school the more they care about everything... but most schools are not going to focus on this so I would not worry about it.
I have a confusing situation.
My undergrad GPA (major in global economy) from a Russian university is 3,9.
Prior to applying to a business school I decided to get a Biotechnology certificate from Columbia University ( 1 year graduate NON-DEGREE program), a decision that is consistent with my long term goals.
Unfortunately I underestimated my capabilities in natural sciences and got a 3.0 GPA for the first term of the program.
Given my high GMAT score (760) I applied to several top 10 business schools in the USA but now worry wether the GPA from Columbia can hurt considerably my candidacy.
Does anyone know wether the GPA in the non-degree program counts as much as undergrad GPA?
Or will my good undergraduate performance outweigh ?

Thank you in advance.
I would be most grateful if you could clarify the situation.

I don't think you have much reason to worry. You have an excellent GPA followed by an excellent GMAT score. Together these will keep you afloat nice and clear. All the best for your decisions, which in my opinion will be more dependant on your overall application quality.
