Does the validity of your GMAT score affect your chances?

Lets say I wrote my GMAT 3 years ago. It's now valid for 2 years, and someone else wrote their GMAT very recently right before they wanted to get into a B-School. That person's GMAT validity is still intact with 4-5 years. Does this affect your chances of getting to the B-School assuming both are applying to the same place with the same score and almost identical resume.
"Although your GMAT score has a 5 year validity, Your GMAT score is 3 years old, but person X's GMAT score is only 1 year old, since X's GMAT score is still new and recent, he stands a better chance"
