Hi Rich,
Thanks for your prompt response.
Please find my answers below:
a) I thought I would apply during the round 2 application cycle of the business cycle. I believe most of the business schools have their deadline around the last week of October till about second week of November.
b) I am an IT professional with close to 8.5 years of work experience working in a reputed MNC (Fortune 500 company). I am interested in applying for the one year mba programs.
Some schools that I have short listed include Nanyang business school (Singapore), Emory business school (USA), Mendoza college of business (USA), Marshall school of business (USA).
Also I forgot to mention in my earlier post, I scored badly on the IR section. I scored only 2. I am not sure why I scored so low, but definitely it is possible that I must have only scored on the questions that were tagged as experimental and missed out on others. This is perhaps the lowest ever score that I got based on my scores from full length of mock tests. The IR score was never lower than 5. I was myself shocked to see that I scored miserably bad on this section.
I am not sure how the IR score would impact my overall admission to business schools, but if it would, it gives me a even more compelling reason to take the GMAT once again.
Also, I am now planning to take the GMAT within a period of 1 month and looking forward to score 700+. It looks like, only if we aim for greater than 720, we actually land at somewhere close to 700.
Your inputs are highly appreciated on whether I should try applying to the above bschools based on the above score and my profile.

HI Vijay,
First off, a 650/Q48 is a solid score (it's right around the 80th percentile overall), so it could be enough to get you into your first-choice Business School. With a 650, you're actually closer to a 680 than you realize, but the question now is whether a retest is really even necessary.
1) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
2) What Schools are you planning to apply to?
GMAT assassins aren't bron, they're made,
