Hi , i have a starter question, ( which i might be able to find on previous posts.. but let me ask ) . So when i entered the page this morning, I saw the status Not Invited ( yeah well ), I just wonder, if there is also a status 'waitlisted' on that page for some applicants?
I am just thinking, the possibility of being viewed for 'Not Invited' would be pretty low if waitlist also exit , right?
I am sure there are people like me who think they had a good chance while not being invited to interview, i would be really happy to recieve some feedbacks so that i could understand what was not working about it, so we could improve for future. Lets be hopeful for now=)

Bummed my interview was waived at Kellogg, thankful to be invited to interview at Fuqua.

Here's a good list of questions from last years forums, with additions at the end from Professor X from earlier in this thread who interviewed during the open interview period.

1. How would you explain your job to a 5 year old?
2. Walk me through your resume
3. Tell me about your community activities
4. Why MBA?
5. Why Fuqua? And how did you choose Fuqua?
6. Apart from Team work and friendly students, what else is important to you.
7. What do you plan to do when you are at Fuqua?
8. How can you contribute to Fuqua?
9. What will you do if MBA does not exist?
10. What are your strengths and weaknesses?
11. Have you quit anytime?
12. Have you regretted your decision anytime?
13. What is the biggest risk you have taken so far?
14. Have you faced an ethical dilemma in your career?
15. If you have to explain yourself in one word what will be the one word?
16. If you can choose a team of 5, who will you choose?
17. If your story is written as a book, what will be title?
18. How do you resolve conflict?
19. What will you do if you have nothing to do for a whole day?
20. Have you felt sometime that it is better to be led than lead?
21. What is the difference between Leader and Manager?
22. How do you define a leader of Consequences?
23. How do you define diversity?
24. How do you prove feedback?
25. Do you have anything to add?
26. What are your short term and long term goals?
27. How are you and Fuqua a proper fit for each other?
28. Tell me about an ethical issue you had to face.
29. What does "leader of consequence" mean to you?

1. Tell me about yourself.
2. Why pursue an MBA now?
3. Why Fuqua?
4. Tell me about a time you had a conflict with your manager and how you resolved it?
5. What would your friends say are your greatest strengths? Name 3?
6. What is your greatest weakness?
7. A few questions specifically related to my resume....was interested in my study abroad experience and also my dancing experience (I do hip hop & bhangra fusion)

Good luck everyone.

Hi all!!

I am invited too..

I do not know if I shall be "extremely" happy about this!! :?: :?: :?:

Allow me to elaborate...

How many applicants are interviewed? If all applicants or 90% of them are invited, so not big deal.

Sorry for being a party breaker...(besides I am in the same party...) but it is like being happy for something that is not a real surprise!!

Please tell me your opinion on this...

I will most appreciate, as I am a little bit confused :? :? :?

ps Sorry again.. I do not mean to " destroy" hopes or happiness feelings... besides as I said I am also destroying mine....

I wouldn't worry about it. When I went to visit the school the adcon told me they interview people that they like but aren't quite sure about. They might already be sure about you!

I'm a bit skeptical about this... Since Duke truly is driven by fit, I cannot imagine they would accept anyone without an interview(maybe some extreme exception). I have always heard the exact opposite from Fuqua. I'm almost positive that they invite applicants that they are interested in, and use the interview as a way to make sure they would fit, and that their story translates. To those that have not been invited, I think the best case scenario now is to be waitlisted without interview.

There is even a section on the waitlist FAQ

I was waitlisted for an interview. What should I do?
You will receive an e-mailed invitation to participate in the next round of interviews in the location you pre-selected on your application. No action is needed on your part until you receive the e-mail. The admissions committee will review your completed interview evaluation as a part of your total application and will provide an updated decision on your application after the next admissions deadline. Please refer to our Web site for details on the interview invitation and decision release timeline.

I have no clue to how common a waitlist without interview is, but there is still hope.

is there a difference between 'not invited' and 'waitlisted'? Are people who are saying wait listed actually see that on their application status?

This also matches what I have consistently been told by Fuqua. All admitted applicants will be interviewed at some point in the process.

In response to a few others' questions regarding waitlist and interview invite status, I believe 'not invited' merely indicates they are not inviting you to interview at this time. Doesn't mean you can't get invited later in the process and/or waitlisted.

No one gets admitted without intvw! Infact for Duke the ratio of acceptance to interview invites would be much lower because of their self initiated interview.
Not invited in R2 means little hope, considering their is already a long line up of WL-ed candidate from EA/R1.

Any idea when you get the scheduling email is sent out? I want to book my expensive flight, before it goes more expensive.
