Hey!
So I’m an international student and wanna go into Finance/consulting later (not sure which yet but mostly finance).
I got into the MSc in Management - international business program at Ivey business school in Canada. Quite prestigious in Canada but not known outside Canada.
https://www.ivey.uwo.ca/msc/program-ove ... -business/I also got an offer from Duke Masters of Management Studies STEM program in the US.
https://www.fuqua.duke.edu/programs/mms ... f-businessI just heard back from Duke and up until now I was pretty convinced on Ivey. However, now I’m really confused which one to pick mainly because of Duke’s prestige and reputation but its program has mixed reviews.
Also to give some context, both schools cost roughly the same (tuition + living expenses). They have similar coursework but Ivey is 1 sem longer (not a deciding factor). Ivey has better employment rates. Duke’s program seems to have quite poor employment rates and I’ll need to do an accelerated MBA (was gonna do this anyways). Both programs provide me 2-3 years of work visa. Although Canada visa process seems much easier and hassle free. I also can’t decide between the US and Canada as not much difference to me. Do share your views on the US vs Canada.
I know many people don’t know about these programs but I would love to hear your opinion and thoughts on the matter.
