gmateng I would recommend part-time - but are you geographically flexible? Is your job portable?
EMBA is not great for career changers, more for career maximizers, but it's not impossible! I have 1 former client paving the way for a career in PE at Wharton EMBA right now. Same for an ex-physician client. But don't count on career services, pave your own way. Speak with career services about the recruitment support you will get with PT vs MBA, for each school. Also, I recommend you go right to the source of who you plan to sell your degree to. This is the best way to plan your path. Also great networking/groundwork.
I do need to say, the fact that you don't have any management experience puts you at a distinct disadvantage. Emba students generally are supposed to have mgmt experience to contribute in the classroom. But check in with the schools - I am all about applicants going right to the source.
That said, If there is any possible way to take a year off, I would definitely apply to Stanford MSx, a 1-year in-residence program, and MIT Sloan Fellows. You have a good profile for both and it would be well worth it. Both have an average age around 36.
Realize you can't take a year off but if you could, I would recommend Cornell 1-year MBA, the 1-year Tech MBA if applicable, along with Kellogg, UCS Marshall & Emory 1-year MBAs. European schools are far more receptive to older students, so there's a good shot if you apply there.

1. Which is better PT MBA or EMBA . Too old for PT program ?
2. is EMBA only for exec ? All the school website that i have looked at make it sound like EMBA is only for highly successful candidates . Do i have a chance with Columbias, MITs , Yales ...
3. I have been hearing a lot how EMBA really has not helped career changes . Any truth to this? One of the biggest thing that I hear is after graduation companies just dont consider EMBAs for campus interviews ..
