That was a really confusing sequence of events :). So the way the Consortium works is you apply THROUGH them to the programs. There's no application ping pong like you mentioned. Read more [here].

Our clients for Consortium work with us on their Consortium application (there are a handful of essays for that) and then each school beyond that. Then it's in the hands of the schools. Interviews, acceptances, fellowships, etc. So, for example, our client who got a full ride to Stern through the Consortium in R2 this year was notified of his acceptance and fellowship simultaneously. It's a very interwoven process.
