Hi,
In my admission essay, there is a question "In what specific organizations or activities will you participate?" If my plan for "specific organization" is unsure, what is the best way to answer this question? Should I just pick any organization and talk about it?

Don't pick just "any" organization. Pick one or two that interest you, either in terms of your professional goals or personal interests. If you say you want to join the Private Equity club and have not interst in it, you will look foolish. Similarly if you say you want to join the ski club and haven't mentioned skiing anywhere in your application, you will just look silly.

Good luck!

I wonder why they asked with the word "specific" because I am not even familiar with the area where the school locates. Would it be OK to use an organization that is not in the area?

They want to see that you know something about the school and the organizations and clubs on campus for students. Go to the school's web site and research the extra-curricular activities at your school. What interests you?

Good luck!
