Mainly applying to Canadian B-Schools (Sauder, Rotman, Schulich, Ivy, Queens etc.).
Canadian/Male
Age: 27
Bachelor: B.Sc., Human Physiology
GPA 3.6
Academic Achievements: Finished with Honors Roll.
GMAT: 680
Work Experience: 3.5 Years
Area of W/E: eComm Website Management and Integration (Unrelated to my Bachelors)
-Took part in all aspects of business web development, large system integration (not simple wordpress site), taxation, legal aspect and logistics/distribution, sourcing products.
Working Full Time 60+ hrs/week.
Note: For the past 3.5 years I've been running multiple eCommerce websites, one is large, the other is starting to pick-up (1 year old). Being the owner/developer of these several projects I have great profit but my salary is very low, as I try to push all my profits back into the business, rather getting more business loans. It's fairly common for small business owners to have zero to little personal income (living on credit/savings for a few years) until the company reaches optimal level of performance. Lots of experience working with reputable factories/suppliers/developers from all over the globe. Looking to specialize in Operations Management or Information Systems or Supply Chain Management (depending on school program). While in school I will pass my role to my brother who in IT field, for the next 2 years I will control the operations but will not do anything significant while concentrating on studies.
References: Will be from wholesaling companies (suppliers/vendors) that I have worked with.
Goal After MBA: Continue working in my firm and expand internationally, in fact that is why MBA would be essential as I have limited business background, mostly sciences. To look deeply in my career goals, is to sell the company (not planning at this moment), and apply my experience and tech knowledge to other eCommerce based corporations, including e-Health (related to my bachelors degree).
1. What are my chances to these schools: Sauder, Rotman, Schulich, Ivy, Queens etc.?
2. Would there be a problem for my Bachelors being in biological sciences and working in IT, as MBA schools want Relevant Work Experience ?
(I self learned everything, loved coding since high school) Instead of taking some sort of Lab assistant job in my Field I decided to use my self learned skills and apply to my own company.
3.May there be an issue with very low personal salary during interview or application for financial assistance(school loan)?
