Hi ankitsood5,

Hope you are doing good. Nice GPA! However, the problem with us Indians is that schools expect a score of 700+ from us (why did we have to be so smart?!), being completely honest with you here.

But don't lose hope, everything is achievable!

We would like to know a bit more about your profile. Please feel free to drop a mail at the address below with your resume, details of extracurricular activities, voluntary activities, career goals etc. Hope you get the gist.

Once we get this, we will be in a better position to help you select a school.

Let's stay in touch. Communication is key!

Cheers!

So your work experience is good, but that 680 is going to be on the lower end. I would look to programs in the US in the top 25-50 range and then I would also look at some programs internationally. You have a profile that fits with a program like HKUST http://www.mba.ust.hk/ftmba/faculty-n-class/our-class for example, so you may want to look at programs like this also. Since you have a few months before submission and you are so close on GMAT, you may want to retake this spring if you hope to be competitive in US in top 20 programs. Best wishes to you- and also use this time now to do research so that you know WHY you are interested in some programs, not just CAN you get in!

Hey there,
I’d love to help you out but without more info it’s gonna be hard. What do you do? How quickly have you advanced? Do you have any leadership? What are your great achievements? Do you have notable community service or extra curriculars? Which school did you graduate from?

All of these will play important roles in your evaluation.
Best,
Jon

Nice profile here, but given your tough competitive demographic, you will probably want to break 700 to give yourself the best odds. As currently constructed you are probably looking at schools at the bottom of the top 25

Hi there! I worked with someone coming from a similar work experience background as you, and he had GREAT leadership and teamwork stories, which of course goes a long way. So that's in your favor! You have a bit more work experience than is typical for full time programs, so you'll want to be strategic there in explaining why the MBA makes sense for you. And unfortunately, as noted on this thread, your GMAT is not very competitive for the top 15 schools given that you are coming from a very competitive demographic. So, if you're looking at the top US schools (my area of expertise), I'd recommend that you shoot for a higher GMAT score and then take it from there.

Best of luck!

Where would the school ideally be located? In the US? Europe? Asia? Also, what is your post-MBA goal? Answers to those questions could give me an idea of what to suggest at least, even though I am missing quite a lot of detail in order to be able to evaluate the strength of your profile itself. (If you want a more thorough check of your profile itself I would recommend this tool: https://aringo.com/mba-admission-chances-calculator/)
