Hi all,
Please evaluate my profile for B-schools 2018 session. Please also suggest schools in which I can get admissions.
Nationality- Indian
GMAT score- 680 (Q48, V35)
Employed at PowerGrid Corporation of India Ltd (A Navratna PSU)
Workex 7 years 8 months including 1.5 years cousultancy exp in Bhutan (Foreign Exp).
B. Tech in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from NIT Hamirpur.
College- 4/4 (9.02 CGPA)
12- 86%
10- 78%
Independent handling of projects. All are site experiences.

Hope you are doing good. Nice GPA! However, the problem with us Indians is that schools expect a score of 700+ from us (why did we have to be so smart?!), being completely honest with you here.
But don't lose hope, everything is achievable!
We would like to know a bit more about your profile. Please feel free to drop a mail at the address below with your resume, details of extracurricular activities, voluntary activities, career goals etc. Hope you get the gist.

So your work experience is good, but that 680 is going to be on the lower end. I would look to programs in the US in the top 25-50 range and then I would also look at some programs internationally. You have a profile that fits with a program like HKUST https://www.mba.ust.hk/ftmba/faculty-n-class/our-class for example, so you may want to look at programs like this also. Since you have a few months before submission and you are so close on GMAT, you may want to retake this spring if you hope to be competitive in US in top 20 programs. Best wishes to you- and also use this time now to do research so that you know WHY you are interested in some programs, not just CAN you get in!
