Hi there,
Thanks for sharing your background with us! First off, congrats on a killer GMAT score! While your GPA is a bit on the low side, your GMAT and your IT work experience should help remove any doubts on your analytical skills. Your essays will need to be pristine to show off your verbal and communication skills.
Surely your work experience isn't (too) boring at all! How many promotions have you earned? What is your leadership capacity like in your role? Sounds like there is also some brand equity from your firm as well which is great. Now, I agree, your experience as an entrepreneur is exciting! This is what helps you stand out and could get you past the admissions gateway. Congrats on your exit! The key is going to be how you frame your story tying together your work experience, entrepreneurial experience, and involvement and how each of these will help you in the future. Another focus of your essays needs to convey a sense of purpose and clarity in your goals. You're a bit of an older candidate, so the AdComms will expect a clear picture of your short and long term goals and a bit more maturity throughout your application.
I encourage you to apply at your target schools. Given your goals, Booth is another great school for entrepreneurship. Also, any reason why you're not considering GSB, Haas, or HBS?
