Oh! What an annoying little question.

Authors Reasoning can be shortened to something similar
Everyone in a Group A has a Characteristic B. Since No person with Characteristic B does C, No person who does C is a part of group A. The argument goes back to the Gourmet Cooks.

Every option except B does not go back to its original group A, like in the argument. A-> B . All B-> No C. All C-> No A.

We can solve this one by looking at the structure of the argument and then by comparing such structure to the rest of the options.

Everyone who is a gourmet cook (entity A) enjoys a wide variety foods and spices(Entity B). Since no one who enjoys a wide variety of foods and spices(Entity B) prefers bland foods(Entity C) to all her foods, it follows that anyone who prefers bland foods(Entity C) to all other foods is not a gourmet cook.(entity A)
