FROM Booth Student Perspectives Blog: Winter Formal: Booth’s Signature Event
It’s that time of year again. Booth’s biggest event of the year, Winter Formal, is less than three weeks away! Boothies and their partners are dusting off the gowns and tuxedos they bought for a wedding three years ago because “I’ll definitely wear it again.” First Years are finally unpacking those stylish blue or grey suits and patterned ties that Investment Banking Group (IBG) and Management Consulting Group (MCG) wouldn’t let them wear during recruiting. I thought I would channel my excitement into reliving some memories from last year’s gala.

FROM The Booth Experience: Tales of an ESSEC exchange student at Booth
September 2019. I am finally boarding my United B787 from Paris to Chicago. 8 hours to go. I have already contacted many of the fellow exchange students to understand what weather to expect (spoiler: it was colder than expected!). Also, I have just figured out how to properly bid for classes. Finally, thanks to the … Continue reading Tales of an ESSEC exchange student at Booth →

FROM Booth Admissions Blog: Experiencing the Full-Time MBA as a Chicago Booth Scholar
Once you become a Chicago Booth Scholar, you're in a unique position. Rather than beginning the program the following Fall, you head out into the working world to continue developing your professional experience. This gives you two to four years to build connections with fellow Scholars and Boothies while building up the anticipation of beginning your Full-Time MBA. After that build up, it's no surprise that our Booth Scholars say there's nothing like walking onto campus for the first time as a current student. We recently sat down with Julia Chang, '21, to share her insights on life at Booth following her deferral period.

Two years ago, I was anxiously awaiting business school acceptances. Not for me, but for my boyfriend Andrew. When Andrew got his acceptance … Continue reading Booth Partners: A community within our community →
