By when should all the documents, GMAT score, essays be ready for HEC Montreal, McGill and other top Canadian colleges for 2 year MBA - winter 2023 intake?

Most programs want all materials submitted by the deadline - so for HEC Montreal that’d be November 15 and around Nov 1 for McGill - I always say to give recommenders a deadline 2-4wks before the actual deadline

McGill and HEC-M have an intl deadline of March 15 - so you have a month to put together a rather simple McGill app and a moderate one for HEC-M. very possible! as long as you have GMAT or GRE

So typically scholarships will either be school-specific or country-specific, but Stanford posts a link to external scholarships that they have vetted - https://www.gsb.stanford.edu/sites/defa ... rships.pdf ; Columbia has a similar list as well... I’m not sure about a list for Canada, but you can check with the financial aid office at a specific school to see if they have a credible list of trusted scholarship sites

TopMBA/QS does this ranking and the stats behind it - https://www.topmba.com/mba-programs/top ... anada-2020 Rotman, McGill, Ivey, Smith and Schulich are top 5 and most name brand recognition outside of Canada as well

To what extent do the FT rankings affect the application pool quality? Even though the school in question has been one of the greats but fell in a particular year in the rankings.

Depends on the school and which of the 5 rankings you look at. I would say a great is a great - they will still attract top talent if they fell on 1 of the rankings. The past 2 cycles have been very competitive, even for T25 programs... so its like still going to have strong applications in R1. Happy to chat offline too - jenifert@aringo.com
