Thanks a lot in advance

Hi Abhishek1301,

Thanks for writing in.

Considering your low academic grades at the undergrad level, as well as the fact that you come from an overrepresented pool of applicants, you must definitely look for a score upwards of 730. The higher you score, the better you chances will be since the schools you are targetting are a bit sensitive about GMAT requirements.

The GMAT, though, very important, is only one element of the applications process and schools will evaluate your application in a holistic manner. Thus, you will need to showcase career progress, complete with achievements, as well as an improved skill-set. At the same time, and very importantly, you will need to highlight a logical set of career goals, wherein your short-term and long-term goals flow in sync with each other, as well as with your existing experience. The international experience will, of course, be a plus and must be highlighted accordingly.

Thus, a higher GMAT, as well as a set of well-crafted essays will give you a good chance.

All the best!
