Hi,
I have done my undergraduation in India where the grading system is different from USA. I am trying to fill the online application and there are few questions which I don't know how to answer. Questions are as follows:
1) School Code: I did not find the school code in the look up search provided there. Can I leave it as blank?
2) Estimated rank among peer students: In bracket an example is provided (i.e., top x%). I know I am among the top 10% of the class, but I don't have any document which specifies that. Can I just go ahead and put Top 10%, am I suppossed to provide some proof for this?
3) For Non-U.S. Colleges and Universities or U.S. Institutions NOT using a 4.00 grading scale, please include the following, Overall Score or Average Grade: My undergraduate states that I got 'First With Distinction' grade. i.e 4.0 GPA I guess. I wanted to specify 'Distinction', but the text box provided allows me to enter only 10 letters. What am I suppossed to enter there?
4) Other High School/Secondary School: I have studied in private school(s) in rural India, which are not certified as an authorized public school(s). And I have hopped about 4 schools during my 5 year high school period. At the end of 5 years I appeared the high school board examination through an authorized public school as a private candidate, passed in distinction and got my high school certificate. (I know this is confusing for you, but its kind of like that.) My certificate states that I am a private candidate belonging to 'Luthern Model High School' and passed the exam in March, 1990. I have never attended Luthern Model High School except for the fact that I took the board exam through this school. If you are still with me and able to follow what I am trying to explain, I would appreciate if you can help me out with what I am suppossed to fill in the application form.

Hi,
The best method is to contact the school directly and ask them. Most US schools have reviewed many transcripts from India so they should have a better good idea how to help.
