Hey Guys,

Luckily for you, majors don't even matter from an employer's perspective! So don't worry too much about being able to major in something, double majors, etc :-) I'll explain:

Say we have 2 hypothetical students, both of whom want to work in in the health care sector upon graduation.

Student A:
Does the health sector management major and does nothing but go to class and pump out straight A's.

Student B:
Takes a random bunch of courses that are of interest to her. Does reasonably well but maybe not all A's. However on the side, does A TON of networking in the health sector, gets super involved with the Rotman Healthcare Management Association (our student club for this sector), gets really involved with the team in our Centre for Health Sector Strategy etc.

Student A might be invited for a ton of job interviews but student B will actually get a job.

The point is, majors are not important (this is a blanket statement for MBAs in general, not just here at Rotman). What is, is doing the things necessary to get you a job post-MBA. :-)
