Hi Guys,

I am European, GMAT 695, Engineering with high GPA, ...

I am not a great storyteller nor a great communicator.

I am applying to Bocconi and INSEAD but I would like to consider also US MBAs.

I am looking for support in writing my applications and preparing the interviews, also to receive support in choosing the best MBAs to apply.

The instinct here is to treat the communication concern as the central problem, but admissions committees will actually form their first read from a different place entirely.

- A current GMAT 695 sits in a reasonable range for both Bocconi and INSEAD, and the high GPA in engineering strengthens academic credibility; the score is unlikely to be what limits this application.
- European applicants to INSEAD often underestimate how crowded the pool is with profiles that look similar on paper: strong technical background, good numbers, continental origin. What separates candidates there is rarely credentials and almost always the specificity of the career narrative.
- Adcoms reading an application from someone who self-identifies as a weak communicator will look harder at essays for evidence of self-awareness and judgment, not just writing polish; that dynamic actually creates an opening if the story is honest and purposeful.
- The sharpest risk here is not storytelling mechanics but rather the absence of a clear post-MBA direction. Without a credible reason why an MBA is needed now, no school on the list becomes an obvious fit, and fit is what drives yield-sensitive decisions at schools like INSEAD.

Clarifying the goals comes before choosing schools, and that single step will do more for this application than any other.
