I am glad you posted, because your profile is very similar to mine back when I went to b-school. I too was over 30, with a wife and child and around 10 years of work experience. I got into a top 5 program.
The trend over the past few years has been towards more work experience, with the average creeping up on 6 years, so your experience will actually fit in pretty well. Executive programs actually look for 10 plus years in most cases and even with your two promotions, unless you are at the mid-management level or higher, you might find it more difficult for the EMBA. Plus, with a 740 GMAT, you would be "overqualified" for the EMBA programs, most of which are not nearly as interested in the GMAT as full time programs.
The short version of this story is: go full time. You should be able to get into a top 10 program with a well crafted application and you and your family would have the best two years of your life. Target schools with a good support system for students with families and a high average student age. Let us know if we can help you pull everything together.
