Hi Linda,
What are the factors that one should keep in mind while selecting between the three options mentioned above? For example, would a part-time MBA in Kelloggs carry more weight than an Executive MBA?
Which one would help in getting a good job in one of the top organisations?
Thanks for your advice.
THis is a really large topic and certainly more than I can cover here, but a few factors:
1) Do you want to change jobs or careers or move up at your current employer?. EMBA students don't necessarily have access to b-school career services. Part-timers usually do. Check in both cases.
2) While both EMBA and part-time programs do not require you to leave your job, the EMBA is aimed at someone with ten or more years of experience. Part-timers usually have less.
3) Many EMBA programs don't require the GMAT.
4) Some critics call the EMBA "MBA-light."
5) Recruiters in a recent WSJ survey seemed to prefer part-time MBA programs to EMBA programs.
Good luck!
