Waitlisted...Not sure how to feel yet but happy that I wasn't dinged. Congrats to all those admitted and good luck to everyone else on their other applications!

I was waitlisted for 5 months last year. Please let me know if you want to hear my strategy or have any questions....I didn't get in but was released on the second day of school. You still have a good chance.

I had my fair share of wait lists last yr. Keep sending updates. Its pretty early in the game.
Got a call early afternoon (Europe) to say I have been accepted. I was told I'd be sent an email, haven't however received anything yet. Have any of the accepted candidates received any written update?

I'm confused...have Round 1 applicants started getting interview invites yet? It says on the stats that 13 people have been interviewed R1 on the first page, but then it sounds like people on the thread are saying we won't get interviews until Nov 20? If anyone knows...please clarify. Thanks!

I bet those numbers are applicant initiated interviews.

Hey guys,
I really wanted to participate in this chat but wasn't able to due to firewall issues at my client's office. Seemed like a great group of folks and good questions. If someone has any questions regarding waitlist, acceptence or applications please post here or feel free to PM me and I will be sure to respond.
Thanks everyone for your congrats, congratulations to all that got in, and do not give up to all that were waitlisted or dinged - there are more than enough examples of hard work and perseverance paying off on this forum and more.
Do you know if everyone else has to wait until Nov 20 for an interview invite for round 1 or do they trickle out?

I applied in R1 and interviewed on-campus during the open interview period, which was in early October. They were interviewing 8 people an hour from 9-5 straight. Probably half were EA and the other half were R1. Hope that helps.
I was admitted as well! The strange thing is that I never got a call. I got an email to check my status and when I logged on it said I was accepted and all that fun stuff. I am an American living in Korea. I don't know why I didn't get a call, but I was definitely feeling bad about not getting one and was pleasently surprised, to say the least, to find out I did in fact get in.
Did anyone else NOT get a call and still get accepted?

Odd. Maybe they couldn't call you in time since you are in South Korea? If I were in your shoes, I would call them tomorrow evening their time to check with them. But, I have a feeling you are getting a call tomorrow morning their time.

Last year couple guys got accepted without getting a phone call. I think one was in Mexico and other in SE Asia. Congrats on getting admitted, hope to see you in Durham in Fall.
