Gap between GMAT Online and GMAT Offline

Question

If I take the GMAT online on any given day, do I have to wait for 16 days to give the GMAT offline exam and vice versa?

Hi Jay,

The 16-day waiting period is the number of calendar days between appointments taken in one 'format' (re: two appointments at Test Centers or two appointments in the At-home format). Scheduling a GMAT at a Test Facility and scheduling an At-home appointment have NO impact on one another though; you could technically take one of each on the same day - although I would NOT recommend that you do that. If you score significantly lower on an Exam (in either format), then you might not want to 'rush in' too quickly to retake the GMAT (as there will likely be several aspects to Test Day that you will have to specifically train for before you will be able to score higher (and that training takes time)).

Yes, I think so- The requirement of 16 days of gap b/w two tests holds true irrespective of test center or online mode.

Hi Jaydholakia,

If you taking the online GMAT followed by an in-person GMAT (or vice versa) then you do not need to wait 16 days before you retake.

Also I see a the dates available on mba.com despite me recently giving the exam. Can I go ahead book ? What would happen if I book ?

Yes, We need to wait 16 days now despite of what ever is the mode of test. Even an online test and an offline Test need 16 days gap between them.
