Hi!
Just as chains said. The experience was awesome. Students both current and prospective seemed smart and easy-going. The alumni network is not as broad as a top 10, but I would point out that they are currently making it easier to contact alumni from other Georgetown schools and programs at target companies. Contacting professionals in target companies who graduated from McDonough undergrad (ranked much higher) and the School of Foreign Service (best in the world) is an option, thanks to new efforts by the Career Center.
I was wait-listed after an interview in R2. I submitted the additional essays and recommendation on the 1st April deadline but have not received any acknowledgement yet. I did get a response from the admission team stating that they have been flooded with mails and will take time to reply. Anyone else in the same boat? I would also like to reiterate the message of one the people above that those have been accepted at Georgetown but going elsewhere intimate the admission team. This will help people like us in a long way as I believe that deposit deadline is in May!

I was wondering when the deposit deadline for R2 candidates is? The R3 decision notification date is May 15th, so I'm guessing before that..

I was contemplating it until this week, but ultimately decided to decline. Like I said in my review post, there is a lot to love about the program, but it ultimately isn't the best move for me right now. Best of luck to those of you who do matriculate and to those currently on the waitlist.
I've had several w/l applicants reach out regarding a time table to hear back from adcom. In reality, the deadline for a decision can extend all the way to the beginning of class. This is obviously an issue if you're an international applicant or financially don't want to lose money on other deposits to play the "waiting game." However, some of you try and seek comfort knowing that you're not out of the game yet if rounds keep passing without a decision rendered. There were a few students even accepted as late as end of July this past summer.

This also includes student w/l without interviews.
Nothing here. I suspect wait-listed candidates will only start hearing back post the R3 decision date now (May 15th), and, hopefully, everyone will finally have a decision after the R3 deposit deadline.
Hi Guys, How much is the initial deposit to reserve the seat once admitted? How many days does an applicant have to make the payment upon getting admitted?

If you're coming from round 3 then I think its a one time $1,500 deposit. I believe that the final deadline to pay is early June (maybe the 1st?).
