Hi All,
I wanted to check about my chance of getting into Chicago Booth Part Time Evening program. Below is my Summary
1) Gave GMAT today and scored 640 ( i already gave couple of times earlier but scored less, somehow I always had an issue before gmat exam), this time too I am going through a bad phase but scored ok this time. I know this is not a good score but I would like to see where I stand.
2) I have more than 15 years of experience and currently working as a Manager in a IT Consulting company.
Extra-curricular
1) Represented state level in soccer and swimming.
2) worked with a NGO for couple of years.
3) I have entrepreneur experience as well, built a school in India with family and currently we have 400+ children in that school.
Post MBA Goal
1) My main focus will be on entrepreneur, so that I can help my family in expanding the school.
I would like to know what are my chances, should I give GMAT again and try to improve the score. I am confident in quant, gmat score breakup (Q 48 / V31).
I was very confident till last week that I will score above 700, but I had to leave my job all of a sudden two weeks back because of that I was not able to concentrate last week.

My response is a bit late, but I wanted to give you some thoughts.
First, did you retake the GMAT?
Where did you go for undergrad and what was your GPA?
Your experience is pretty good, though I would want to understand your career progression. How long have you been in consulting? Most applicants with 15 years have more senior positions than manager, but that doesn't mean you aren't a good candidate because of that alone. Your firm will of course factor in as manager is higher at some places than others.
I recommend retaking the GMAT to see if you can bump it up at all, assuming you have the time. If you are interested in GMAT tutoring or would like help with your applications, send me a note and we can discuss further. [email protected]

I would retake the GMAT if you have not already, Booth has one of the top PTMBA programs so your GMAT score will still matter even those not as much as FT candidates. Your work experience will be the focus of your candidacy but a higher GMAT score will help you out here.
