Hi Shruthi,
You last Official GMAT was the "old" version of the GMAT; the new version of the GMAT has replaced the second essay with a section called Integrated Reasoning. Since your last Test was almost 3 years ago, it would probably be a good idea to get a sense of your current skills.
Sometime in the next 1-2 weeks, you should plan to take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT (you can download 2 for free from
www.mba.com). Once you have those scores, you should post back here and I'll be happy to advise.
The Verbal section of the GMAT is just as predictable and standardized as the Quant section, so you CAN train for it and learn to score at a high level.
