Hi,
I am planning to apply for 1-year MBA in India (IIM-S, XLRI, MDI). I have given both GMAT classic and GMAT focus. Although my GMAT focus score is bit lower but I have a IR score of 1 and AWA score of 0 in GMAT classic.
I want to know will my IR and AWA scores in classic hurt my application and which score should I submit for applying to colleges. Below are my score details.
I would be very thankful if someone can help.GMAT Classic
Total: 640 (61%)
QA: 44 (40%)
VA: 33 (66%)
IR: 1 (0%)
AWA: 0
GMAT Focus
Total: 575 (59%)
QA: 79 (57%)
VA: 81 (67%)
DI: 75 (48%)
My advice is probably not something you would want to hear, but how about retaking the GMAT? Your sectional percentiles in the GMAT classic are quite low, besides the IR and AWA - so i don't think you should submit that score at all.
That said, your GMAT FE score can also be higher. I am not so sure about the XLRI and MDI requirements, but the IIMS attract higher scores, so try pushing up the score through a retake.
