Hi bb, hope you're doing great!

Just sent my application yesterday and super excited to join the team!

Quick question regarding the logistics—I noticed that last year there were 90-ish applicants, with 30 shortlisted for Round 2, and ultimately 6 received offers. Just wanted to check if this year will follow the same two-round selection process, or if submitting the Round 1 materials is enough and the results will be announced directly on March 14?

Thanks!

You are trying to read my process and reverse engineer it. I feel like an AdCom member asked about interview invites 😂

You will know by March 14th.

Thank you for the question.
Unfortunately the deadline was about 5 hours ago and the form has closed. I am sorry you have missed it. I have done my best to get it publicized as much as I could.

Hi kamakshisethi1,

The application closed on Feb 28th. We have gotten over 100 applications and still going through those. However, quite a few folks pinged me that they were not able to apply for one reason or another and so I am opening a waitlist application that has 2 additional questions. It will be open until March 10th if you would like to apply. Same link but here it is for reference:

Thank you,

Hi bb,

I've applied for the internship and am really excited to join if given a chance.
Just wanted to update you that I've received my admit for ISB 2025-26 and have accepted the same. Somehow, on my profile, the graduation year is showing as 2027 rather than 2026, so I'm updating you here that I'll be doing my MBA this year (in case it seems like I've deferred my admit).

PM Internships 2025 - We're Recruiting!
GMAT Club is excited to open the 2025 PM Internships!

This is a unique opportunity to get a pre-MBA PM Internship that will provide you with a real-world experience of a PM. You will have a chance to define your product and strategy, you will build, not just make a pretty deck (building is the most exciting part), you will have developers, and mentorship to help you succeed. This is our 5th years and we have had great results launching a variety of products on GMAT Club - most of our innovations have been driven by the Tech PM Internships.

Apply Here

Approximate Internship Timeline:

Date:Stage:
Feb 12
Feb 28
Mar 14
Mar 16
April 11
April 21
June 1
June 15
June 20
June 27
Recruiting opens: Feb 12
Applications close: Feb 28
Recruiting results announced by
Kick off calls
First month presentation
Build Stage (4-6 weeks)
Launch & Marketing
Benchmarking
Final presentation
Internship complete 🏆

Resources Provided During Internship:

  1. ChatGPT Plus subscription
  2. Access to accelerated development and prototyping tools
  3. Software and subscriptions necessary for product
  4. Training & Mentorship
  5. Networking Calls with real PM's working at the FAANG's
  6. Opportunities to safely fail and learn
  7. Upon completion: Stipend of $2,000 and LinkedIn recommendation

How is the Experience?
The internship experience is fast-paced. Traditional FAANG PM internship is 2.5 months and you only have to deliver a presentation. In this case you will design the product, build it, and launch it. This is both a fast-paced process but also comes in waves - when we are building, there is not a whole lot for you to work on besides the launch and marketing plan. Also, there is plenty of flexibility if you have a wedding, vacation, etc. However, you will need to be able to spend 10 hours a week regularly and some weeks it will require 20. Otherwise, if you spend less, you won't be able to finish the strategy part and will end up building a half-baked product. You will get out of this experience as much as you put in.

Does it help with PM Recruiting?

Yes. You get to do what a real PM does. 2 of the last year's interns who recruited into tech already have their Tech PM internships. A student at Tepper got a Microsoft PM role and a Wharton student got an elite PM role at a gaming company I can't name. Both have extensively leveraged their experience gained at GMAT Club during the interviews.

Who is the Ideal Candidate?

We are looking to give admitted students a chance to gain real-world tech PM experience, something that's unfortunately is hard to find these days. Anyone who is admitted or had an interview is welcome to apply. (This experience is designed to help you get a PM internship/job, not help with admissions, so you must be either admitted or interviewing). Last year we have had a dev from Microsoft, an Army Officer, a marketing manager from TikTok, a dev from an EU non-profit, a New York Consultant, and a Financial analyst. Any background works!

Apply Here
You will need the following:

  • Resume (you should already have it)
  • Proof of Admission or Interview Invite (one is enough)
  • 1-minute video (this will be kept confidential)

Products Available:
This is one of the more exciting years with really really powerful products that will make a significant impact on GMAT Club and I am really excited to be working with. Here is a brief description of the products we will be working on in the next few months.

Hello everyone,

First and foremost, I want to extend a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who applied for the 2025 GMAT Club Product Management Internships. We received an overwhelming 110 applications this year. The selection process was incredibly challenging, involving multiple rounds of reviews and interviews with the top 15 finalists. We wish we could accommodate everyone, but ultimately, we were only able to select five interns.

I am thrilled to congratulate the following five candidates on securing PM Internship offers:

Additionally, for the first time, we have decided to place three candidates on a waitlist. If a selected intern becomes unavailable or withdraws, these candidates may have the opportunity to join the program. However, even if they are not able to join, they will still be invited to the presentations and networking meetings.

This year marks our 5th annual Tech PM Internships at GMAT Club. Interns will have the chance to define a product, shape its strategy, and actually build and launch it—experiences that go beyond the typical “make a pretty deck” internship. Over the coming months, our interns will collaborate closely with developers, receive mentorship from experienced PMs (including FAANG PMs), and gain hands-on product management experience.

Each intern will receive a $2,000 stipend upon successful completion of the internship, as well as a LinkedIn recommendation. Past interns have leveraged their GMAT Club experiences to secure notable PM positions at major tech companies, including Microsoft and an elite gaming company. We’re confident this experience will be invaluable for your future recruiting endeavors.

Once again, thank you to everyone who applied. We truly appreciate the time, effort, and passion each of you demonstrated throughout the process. For those not selected, please don’t be discouraged—opportunities like this will arise again, and we hope to see your applications in the future.

Congratulations to our 2025 interns, and welcome aboard!

Warm regards,
BB,
