Essay Analysis-1
Kellogg’s purpose is to educate, equip and inspire brave leaders who create lasting value. Provide a recent example where you have demonstrated leadership and created value. What challenges did you face and what did you learn? (450 words)First thing first, the prompts ask you to provide only one, and that too a recent example of a leadership experience that created value. The example is to be such that it delineates the challenges faced and the corresponding learning experience. The school particularly states that there is no right or wrong ways to answer this question and this is what gives you the flexibility to initiate the responses in whatever field you would like to choose to present a leadership scenario. It could be professional (the most used), something with extra-curricular or could be just any personal initiative too just as rising up to a difficult situation arising in the family for instance.
Following are perhaps the keywords to focus from the prompt :
Educate Your classmates are already leaders in their respective fields and are the chosen ones which are educated further emphasizing the leadership ability of your classmates.
Inspire Kellogg inspires Leaders. And inspiration is contagious, it would be good to mention your inspiration for leadership or your instance of how your leadership inspires others. A real example here would also add in meat for what adcom is looking for.
Brave The bravery aspect of the essay refers to your risk appetite and audacity of the decisions. It is crucial to highlight in your story what were the risks involved and your associated bravery.
Essay Analysis-2Values are what guide you in your life and work. What values are important to you and how have they influenced you? (450 words)
This prompt is pretty straightforward and wants you to reflect on your values and the core beleis you have. The values are to be stated via a story or bunch of anecdots which reflects on your journey and how they have been able to morph you. Again , the important thing here is to understand that it is to the case that some values are important than others. Adcom wants to know you and your values. How your value system has been able to help you in life and how crucial these are too.
