You should take the GMAT when you are ready to score your best.
Every b-school has its own deadline, so you should finish taking the GMAT well in time to complete other parts of the application (such as resume, recommendations and essays) and submitting on time. You can check the deadlines of your target schools on their websites

Can i get into any good univ (IVY League) if i take the exam on oct 1st week and my score is good.
