Hi all
I have one query regarding sending the scores to target schools.

My gmat exam is in Jan 19 and i intend to attend programme commencing Fall 2020. When my results are sent to the 5 schools, do I need to communicate to the schools that i intend applying for 2020 batch only ???
Because many of the schools have their admission process/rounds going on in Jan and Feb for sep 19 intake.

Or i presume that I give my gmat now, get a decent score and then concentrate on my profile building. In sep/oct 2019, when the round 1 starts for 2020 intake i apply to the colleges and they will check my gmat score that i have sent in Jan 19.

This is the right conclusion???

Someone pls enlighten.

How long has it been? Call Pearson customer care if you feel that something has gone wrong with their processes.

If your question is about what you need to communicate to your target schools when you are selecting the 5 programs before the start of your GMAT: you don't have to tell your target programs anything. Selecting those programs means that your scores (for that attempt and other scores in the last 5 years, if any) will be made available to those programs for the next (up to) 5 years (each score is valid for 5 years).

Schools are usually not in a hurry to check your GMAT score, but you will have to ensure that you take the GMAT before their deadline.

HI
Thanks for replying.

My query is that whether the schools will automatically check my submitted score or it happens only when my application for a particular year has reached them??

If yes, then the adcom will see my gmat score only in 2019 round 1 when im applying for 2020 intake..correct?

So i should not bother communicating with them that im applying only for next year n al...

Hope im making myself clear.

thanks for ur time.

Hi mbadream2020,

You can send your scores to your target schools now, and they will have those scores on file once you apply next year. Also, if you are concerned, reach out to the folks in admissions and alert them that your scores will be sent this year even though you won’t be applying until the 2020 applications cycle.

If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out.

Good luck!
