So there’s an interesting answer to this! A lot of people feel Exams 1 & 2 are easier, but they’re actually no easier or harder than the actual exam. They feel easier because the questions in them are more common in the public domain, meaning you’ll probably encounter them or a derivative question in your prep, which is why it _feels_ easier.

So it depends how you score. If you are getting 605 or so, the experience will be the same but if you’re scoring higher than that the free test I’m not really designed with many hard questions, especially the exams 3, 4, 5, 6. So in that case, the exam will be harder. It’s just because harder questions are harder to come by

I would like advice please:
My target score is late 600s(which I understand might appear low to a few but that's besides the point).
I took official mock 1 a week ago and scored 575 which was pretty much alligned to my scores in gmatclub sectionals. Today i scored 625 in official mock 2. The second mock felt pretty hard comparatively to first mock and I felt pretty overwhelmed throughout quant section( though I doubt it stems from lack of topical knowledge) and guessed a lot on quant in it. Surprisingly I scored 78 quant which is pretty decent for me since I have mostly ranged in 74-76 in quant otherwise.
My reservations are: what should Infer given such high variability in my mock scores, should I take second mock score with only pinch of salt or see it as genuine improvement(which I doubt given the situation I explained of my poor quant approach in second mock). What can I do in month and half I have remaining of preparation to at least maintain if not Improve this score.
Experienced seniors kindly help out.

Hi everyone. Here for some advise and insights: I took my exam last week and scored a 655. However, my sectional scores are not balanced. It poor in Quant. While I am considering a re-attempt, in case that does not work out either and these are the scores I have to work with..to what extent does this put me at a disadvantage? I am a working professional so I will have an opportunity to offset some of this via my applications. But if anyone has any insights here as to how this can go with AdComs.. and also what to do for an improved quant score. I was doing pretty well in mocks but I completely faltered during the test. @bb @hr1212

It is in the syllabus, I did get one question in one of my attempts. Also, it's fairly easier than other topics like Probability, P&C. So, yes worth the investment depending on your target score.

It's worth taking another attempt and improving your Quant score, because that's mostly what schools assess from the standardized tests. However, if it doesn't go well, you can still demonstrate your quantitative readiness by showcasing the quant aspects of your work (analytics, modelling).

For Quant, focus on your strong topics and make sure you're making zero mistakes on them across easy, medium and hard levels. On your weak topics (P&C, in my case), focus on nailing the easy and medium questions at 100% accuracy, and your accuracy on the hard ones will follow naturally (maybe above 50%). That should be enough to score 86+ (91st percentile).

I gave my gmat exam i was half prepped for rc and di but still had booked one exam as a deadline. Did helped in me getting upto pace.

Sharing my spread here.
Got 565. I am aiming for 685-705 range.
I would be giving another exam in a month or two.

Also three major mistakes
1. My exam was online and passport was required. I took 10 minutes rushing through the house looking for it.
2. Totally forgot about timer in verbal and di and overspent on questions. Led to being not able to attempt few questions. This gets heavily peanilized
3. Made mistake in starting 6 to 8 questions.

Please help me in understanding my score my mistakes what shoudl i do apart from doing more practice as i am going to do that consistently till i am ready
